Half day trekking to visit Cat Ba National Park Hospital cave – Ngu Lam peak – Trung Trang cave, Return on coast road
Duration: 4 hours – Depart: 8.00 am or 13.00 pm
The half day trekking Cat Ba National Park, pick up by bus at your hotel in Cat Ba town’s center, along main road through the romantic island, first stop in Quan Y cave (another name is Hospital cave).
Hospital Cave is a miniature hospital in the heart of the mountain, built in 1963-1965 during the war, including 3 floors and 17 separate rooms with various functions. You will admire the unique architecture and creative ability of troops and people during the war. Take a look half an hour here.
Leave Hospital cave, continue the journey to visit Cat Ba National Park, the
second stop is Trung trang cave, this is a natural cave with many stalactites in the cool cave where you can hear the sound of tiny drops of water flowing down from the stalactites on the ceiling, through 300m long from the side through the mountain to the other side.
Driving to National the park’s gate, leave car then walk around 800 meters into the forest.
Climb up hundres stone steps and forest trail to the top Ngu Lam peak, where you can see the majestic beauty of the primeval forest on the islands (Up and down to Ngu Lam peak in 2 hours). In the forest you will hear the symphony of the mountains: birds singing, the sound of insects, the call of animals such as: mink, squirrels, monkeys ……
Leaving Cat Ba National Park, get on car, drive on coastal road, stop at Sightseeing tower to admire the view of the Gulf of Tonkin on the flower route (afternoon trip with amazing sunset) Back to Cat Ba town, finish journey.

1.Is this a hard trek?
For half day trekking is very easy but for full day is quite hard.
2.For full day trekking, do we have lunch on the way?
We come across Viet Hai fishing village and stop there to have lunch at one of the most famous local restaurant.
3.Do we take the same way to go back?
No, after having lunch in Viet Hai, you cycle to Viet Hai Dock and then take the boat cruising through Lan Ha Bay to go back.
4.Do we have possibility to see any animals?
Yes, if the weather is fine enough. But not much
5.Do we need to bring any things?
Good hiking shoes, good camera and mosquito protection
